Festive and fun, this shawl is inspired by strings of holiday lights. It is decorated with slipped stitches and stripes that are broken up with a touch of texture. A band of beautiful lace decorates the bottom border, and the finishing touch is the mini fringe in peppermint colors. With such a fun sampling of patterns, you’ll love every stitch of this shawl. Universal Yarn Bella Cash (60% fine merino superwash, 30% nylon, 10% cashmere; 50g/230 yds)
116 Sage (MC) – 2 balls
121 Cabernet (CC1) – 1 ball
102 Blush (CC2) – 1 ball
126 Forest (CC3) – 1 ball
Needles: US Size 4 (3.5 mm) 32” circular or longer (to accommodate large number of sts) or size needed to obtain gauge
Notions: Stitch markers, tapestry needle

24 sts x 40 rows = 4” in Striped Grain patt

PATTERN NOTES
This shawl is knit flat from the top down. It begins with a garter tab cast-on. During Sections 1-4 of the shawl, six increases occur every RS row and 2 increases occur every WS row. During Section 5, two increases occur every row (RS and WS). The shawl is finished with mini-fringe alternating between CC1 and CC2.

In this pattern, work all slipped stitches purlwise. Each section is also charted for your convenience.
