This crescent shaped shawl is knit from the top down.
Because the Center Chart is so large, it is broken up into 3 sections: parts 1, 2, & 3. For Rows 1-54, work Center Chart Part 1. For Rows 55-82, work Center Chart Part 2. For Rows 83-102, work Center Chart Part 3. Stitches on each side of the center portion are maintained in Reverse Stockinette stitch. The shawl is completed with a decorative border, worked even, and a picot bind-off.

This pattern has been updated to clarify the instructions in the pattern notes.
There was an error in Rows 4-5 of the Center Chart 1 on the Dilworth Shawl pattern. A decrease was missing on Row 5 to compensate for an increase in Row 4, which was causing the two rows to be aligned improperly. Additionally, the twisted decreases on Row 5 were purl twists, which also created problems on the following row. An additional definition for a Right Twisted Decrease was added to the stitch guide. We apologize for any inconvenience and appreciate your support. 07/09/21 There was an error in Chart 3 of the Dilworth Shawl, row 101. There was a k2tog and SSK stitch at the beginning and end of the row that did not need to be there. These have been corrected to plain knit stitches, and the pattern has been updated.
