The fluffiest mohair meets elegant lace in the romantic Delfine shawlette. Plush garter stitch feeds into delicate lace points, while a slipped stitch selvedge gives a polished finish to the opposite edge. The elongated crescent shape is surrounded by a cloud-like halo, adding a feeling of luxury to this ultra-chic accent piece.

MATERIALS
Fonty Ombelle (75% kid mohair, 20% wool, 5% polyamide; 50g/158.5 yds)
• 1013 – 1 ball
Needle: US Size 7 (4.5 mm) straight (or your preferred needle for knitting flat) or size needed to obtain gauge
Notions: Tapestry needle, stitch marker

GAUGE
16 sts x 20 rows = 4” in garter stitch after blocking

PATTERN NOTES
This crescent-shaped shawlette is knit end to end, increasing to its widest point and then decreasing back down. Shaping occurs along the left edge of the piece before working the lace border. Due to the increases and decreases in the lace border, the total stitch count will fluctuate throughout the pattern.

The Edge Lace pattern is both written and charted for your convenience.

Please note that this shawlette is written to make the most of one ball of Fonty Ombelle. You may need to unravel your swatch to use in the final piece, or you may wish to purchase an extra ball as insurance.
