20 sts X 40 rows = 4” in garter stitch after blocking

PATTERN NOTES
This mini shawl starts off with a garter tab, with stitches cast on for both the body of the shawl and the edging. Asymmetrical increases and decreases create the curved shape. Increases occur every row along the right edge of the piece and decreases occur every 6 rows along the left edge of the piece before working the lace border.
The Lace Border pattern is both written and charted for your convenience.
Please note that this kerchief is written to make the most of one ball of Fonty Tartan 3. You may need to unravel your swatch to use in the final piece, or you may wish to purchase an extra ball as insurance.
