This sweater is knit seamlessly from the top down. Only one color per row is used during Crosses, Left Slant, and Right Slant patterns. Whichever color is shown before the round number is the color that will be used for that round. In this pattern, slip all stitches purlwise with yarn held in back unless otherwise noted.
Chiaroscuro is available as part of e-book Still Life, and as an individual pattern through Ravelry.

02.17.2021 We have made some adjustments to this pattern. In the yoke section, there was an error in one of the repeat amounts listed for the Right Slant pattern. We have made the choice to eliminate these pattern repeat numbers altogether for the Right and Left Slant patterns, to ease possible confusion.
