PATTERN NOTES
These dolls are created modularly with minimal seaming by first creating two Arms and setting them aside. Then the Body is made seamlessly by making one Leg, then joining a second Leg to it before working in the round for the Body. The Arms are attached while working rounds of the Body, before moving on to shoulder and neck shaping, then finally the head. Ears are made and sewn on separately. Lastly, facial features are embroidered on to finish the doll.
You will work in unjoined, continuous rounds. To track them, place a removable stitch marker in the first stitch to denote the beginning of each round. You will move the marker up each round after completing the first stitch of each new round.
This pattern uses a shorthand style of crochet instructions. Abbreviation descriptions and instructions are given in the Stitch Guide.
ERRATA
7/26/23
There was an error in the instructions for the Body, in which there were too many rounds listed for the neck, and subsequent Row numbers were affected. This also affected the placement of the ears, which should be between Rnds 33 and 37. The pattern has been revised to reflect these change, which started on Rnd 24 of the Body.
