PATTERN NOTESThese hats begin with a crochet provisional cast-on and a brim that is knit flat in garter stitch stripes. After the brim is completed, the ends are grafted together. Then, stitches are picked up from around the edge of the brim (taking care to pick up from the edge where you changed colors). The remainder of the hat is knit in the round. It features a stripe and eyelet pattern throughout. In this pattern, hold a strand each of A1 and A2 together as one strand throughout; this will be referred to as color A. Hold a strand of B1 and B2 together as one strand throughout; this will be referred to as color B. When changing colors in this pattern, do not break yarn for every stripe. Instead, carry the unused color along the inside of the work, twisting the strands of yarn around one another at color changes to prevent holes in your work.
The Mixed Media Hats are available as part of the e-book Pop Art and as an individual pattern through Ravelry.
