PATTERN NOTES  
At first glance, Emri looks like a triangular shawl. Which it is! But there are several fun and unusual components to this project.  

First, the stitch pattern in Emri is striped, but with a fun twist. Every four rows a "dip" stitch is made, blending two colors together.  

Second, Emri has an interesting construction. The center section is worked from the top down. The "wings" are picked up from the center section and worked outward.  

And third, to finish things off, stitches are picked up along the bottom edge and worked in a sequence of garter stripes. The design is finished with a tidy I-cord bind off in a contrasting color. For your convenience a diagram is included that illustrates the construction of this pattern.  

When working in Stripes Pattern, do not break yarn at the end of each stripe. Instead, twist the strands of yarn around one another every RS row.

• 107 Lavandula (B) - 1 skein  
• 108 Crocus (C) - 1 skein  
Note: The sample shown took up nearly all of colors A & B. If your gauge is inaccurate it will affect the amount of yarn used. If in doubt, purchase an additional skein each of Colors A & B.  
Needles: US Size 5 (3.75 mm) straight or size needed to obtain gauge  
US Size 4 (3.5 mm) 40" circular (to accommodate large number of sts)  
Notions: Tapestry needle, stitch markers, 2 removable stitch markers
