PATTERN NOTES
This table runner is knit from the bottom up, working along the longest side. The Plaid Pattern is charted only. The Tree pattern is both written and charted for your convenience. The Plaid Patterns are worked flat using stranded knitting. While working the Plaid Pattern, you will need to catch your floats along the back side of the work. We recommend catching your floats approximately every 5 stitches. Take care not to carry your unused yarn too tightly across the back of the work to prevent puckering in the fabric. The garter edges are worked using the intarsia method. When switching between colors along the edges, bring the new yarn up and around the old color to prevent holes from forming in the work.
