Needles: US Size 5 (3.75 mm) 16 or 24" circular or size needed to obtain gauge  
US Size 4 (3.5 mm) straight and set of dpns (3-6 mo, 1 yr, & 2 yr sizes only) or 16" circular  
Notions: Tapestry needle, 2 removable stitch markers, stitch holders or waste yarn
GAUGE  
23 sts x 33 rows = 4" in Stockinette Stitch (St st) with larger ndl

PATTERN NOTES  
This sweater is worked flat from the bottom up and seamed. Neck edging stitches are picked up and worked in the round. A circular needle is used to work the body because there are times in which stitches will need to be slipped to the other end of the needle during the Stripe Sequence. Cut yarn after each color section and weave in these ends.
