Sailor's Delight Socks

Sailor's Delight Socks
Designed by Rachel Brockman

PATTERN NOTES
"Pink in the night, sailors' delight; pink in the morning, sailors take warning." This traditional saying is the inspiration behind these truly delightful socks with its pink and stormy blue shades. The pink (or red, as it is also sometimes referred to) sky refers to weather conditions. If it is pink at night, it usually indicates stable air coming in from the west and good weather to follow. But a pink or red sunrise can mean that a storm system may be moving to the east.

Regardless of the color of the sky where you are, we're sure this project will be smooth sailing all the way through.

These socks are knit cuff-down in the round with an afterthought heel.
