Jay Sweater Reimagined
Designed by Rachel Brockman
Our popular Jay sweater has been reimagined in the bold hues and soft strands of Fonty Mongolia 3. Named after forest-dwelling jays, this yoked pullover subtly nods to the patterning on their plumage. Inspired by the confidence and curiosity of these beautiful birds, the straight-forward and stylish Jay Sweater is the perfect project for those curious knitters seeking to boost their own colorwork confidence.

PATTERN NOTES
This sweater is worked seamlessly in the round from the top down. After the yoke is worked, stitches for the sleeves are set aside and the body is worked in the round. The sleeves are then worked in the round from the held stitches. The neckline and sleeve cuffs are worked in the contrast color.
This pattern uses the stranded method for colorwork. There are several instances in which you must carry one color across long distances. Be sure to trap your floats every 4-5 stitches to prevent puckering in the fabric. Please note that the Yoke pattern is charted only. Change colors as indicated on charts. When working in the Yoke pattern, you may wish to place stitch markers between each repeat to help you stay on track.
