• 807 Sapphires (MC)- 1 skein

Needles: US Size 17 (12.75 mm) 24" circular needle (Small and Large Cowl), 16" circular needle and dpns (Hat)

Cowls and Hat are worked in the round from the bottom up. The vertical lines are worked after the piece is finished. The purl columns serve two purposes: they form "reminder" lines for where the slip stitch crochet chains go. They also allow the slip-stitch chains to "nest," blending almost seamlessly into the rest of the fabric.
