The Pictor Hat and Mitts are made with a simple design, to show off a painterly selection of colors.

The first thing you should do is to put your colors in order from 1-10. In the model, color 1 is the boldest color and is used as an accent above the hat ribbing and as edging on the mitts. You can decide to put your colors in a gradient order, or mix them up! Whatever looks pleasing to you.

Koigu Pencil Box (100% merino; 10 skeins of 25g/87 yds)
Needle: US Size 2 (2.75 mm) 16”  circular and set of DPNs or your preferred needle for knitting small circumferences or size needed to obtain gauge
US 3 (3.25 mm) set of DPNs 16”  circular and set of DPNs or your preferred needle for knitting small circumferences
Notions: Tapestry needle, stitch markers
