Universal Yarn Posh Alpaca (45% wool, 30% acrylic, 25% superfine alpaca; 100g/98 yds)
Shawl:
104 Shilling (A) – 2 balls

Needle: US Size 13 (9 mm) straight (or your preferred ndl for knitting flat) or size needed to obtain gauge and 16” circular and set of DPNs (for hat)
US Size 11 (8 mm) 16” circular (for hat)
Hook: US Size M-13 (9 mm) crochet hook (for Shawl Edging)
Notions: Tapestry needle, stitch markers, 3½” pom pom maker, scrap yarn in matching color (for attaching pom pom), cable needle (cn)

PATTERN NOTES
The Asher shawl is knit in pieces from the center out – working from the widest edge to the point. Each half of the shawl is worked flat, then the two are seamed together at the cast-on edges. A single crochet border is applied around each edge of the shawl for a tidy finish.

The Asher hat is knit in the round from the bottom up. A pom pom is attached during finishing.
