Our favorite layering pieces are lightweight, easy to wear with everything, and anything but boring. Knit in supple, decadent Donnina, the Confectionary Cardi is sure to be a favorite. Bold color blocking and a touch of asymmetry sweeten this otherwise simple cardigan. The relaxed fit and raglan shaping ensure this is a cozy addition to your wardrobe.

Fibra Natura Donnina (100% superwash extrafine merino; 50g/180 yds)
233 Glacier (A) – 2 (3, 3, 3, 3, 4, 4, 4, 4) balls
208 Garnet (B) – 4 (4, 4, 5, 5, 5, 6, 6, 7) balls
232 Blue Hint (C) – 2 (2, 2, 2, 3, 3, 3, 3, 3) balls
Needles: US size 6 (4 mm) straight (or your preferred needle for knitting flat) or size needed to obtain gauge
US size 5 (3.75 mm) straight (or your preferred needle for knitting flat)
Notions: Tapestry needle, 23 (23, 25, 26, 27, 27, 28, 29, 29)” separating zipper, sewing needle and thread (for attaching zipper)

GAUGE
21 sts x 30 rows = 4” in St st with larger ndl
Save time, check your gauge.

PATTERN NOTES
This cardigan is knit flat in pieces and seamed. Stitches are picked up and worked flat after seaming for the neck and zipper placket. A zipper is inserted by hand sewing as the final step.
