These beautiful crops come in a range of shapes, sizes, and colors, so it’s no wonder that we were inspired to make a handknitted version. PATTERN NOTES
The body of the pumpkin is worked side to side in 8 equally sized wedges. The wedges are shaped using short rows. After binding off the body, the cast-on and bind-off rows are sewn together. The pumpkin is stuffed, then stitches are picked up from around the top opening and the stem is worked in the round. The curlicue and leaf are knit separately and attached to the pumpkin during finishing.

In this pattern, work all slipped stitch purlwise with yarn held in back.
