Gingham Blankie - Crochet
Designed by Rachel Brockman
Gingham fabrics have been around since the 18th century, and the cloth is beloved as the quintessential picnic blanket. What could be more fitting in a collection of fruit-inspired items for young ones? While you may not use the Gingham Blankies as traditional picnic blankets, we think they’re perfect for bringing to your next park outing to warm your little one while you enjoy wine and cheese from the picnic basket. Made in our soft, smooth Uptown Bamboo DK, this blanket is appropriate for use all year. It’s cooling and protective from the sun during the warmer months, yet equally warm and cozy when the weather is chilly. You’ll love making this adorable baby blanket!

PATTERN NOTES
This blanket is comprised of 49 squares in three shades of Uptown Bamboo DK. Each square is crocheted in the round from the center out, beginning with a magic circle. The squares are sewn together to form the blanket. Then, a double crochet border is applied to the edge of the blanket.
The Gingham Blankie - Crochet is available as part of the e-book Precious Picnic and as an individual pattern on Ravelry.
