PATTERN NOTES
This piece is worked in two parts from the top down, starting with the upper neck, which is worked in turned rounds. Once complete, the yarn is fastened off, then rejoined at the Front where the work continues in rows to create the split for the Capelet. The entire piece is worked in back loop half double crochet, except for when establishing the overlapping sections of the Front.

In the Divide Capelet part of the pattern, it is recommended that you use 4 distinct stitch markers as Section markers. The section markers will always stay in the center stitch of the increase rows. We have included a diagram to help you visualize the Section marker placement. Later in Part 2 – Flat Section, use 2 distinct markers to mark the beginning and end of your rows.
